They are seeking an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to architect and scale their U.S. compliance program, overseeing critical compliance operations and regulatory relationships.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary BSA and OFAC Officer, overseeing the implementation and evolution of the U.S. Compliance Regime
Lead the deployment and optimization of compliance tools, including SumSub, Sardine, Veriff, and Chainalysis
Maintain the annual corporate risk assessment and drive the strategy for state money transmitter licensing and acquisition
Design and execute comprehensive AML and sanctions training for all employees, management, and the Board of Directors
Author and maintain robust policies regarding anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, data privacy, and consumer protection
Collaborate with product teams to ensure new features align with the shifting global regulatory landscape
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, internal audits, and external stakeholders
Supervise, mentor, and expand the existing compliance department to match company growth
Qualification
Required
7+ years in compliance leadership within Fintech, Payments, or Crypto
Bachelor's degree required
Deep expertise in the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), PATRIOT Act, OFAC sanctions, and FinCEN requirements
Familiarity with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Reg E, and state-level licensing and maintenance processes
Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance
Preferred
Direct experience within a Money Services Business (MSB) is highly preferred
CAMS certification is strongly preferred
