Financial Reporting Analyst - Financial Reporting
NEOGOV is seeking a passionate Financial Reporting Analyst to support the community through transparent and accurate financial reporting. The role involves analyzing and interpreting complex financial data, preparing detailed financial analyses, and developing associated financial reports for the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s office.

Responsibilities
Analyzes and interprets complex financial data; prepares detailed financial analyses and specialized reports which includes the County’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), Annual Financial Report (AFR), Annual Financial Audit Report (AFAR), and various quarterly and annual Article V Court Cost Reports, including F.S. 318 and F.S 939 reports and the County Funded Court Related Report
Develops and maintains written procedures, checklists and other related documentation concerning accounting functions under charge
Prepares, posts, reviews and approves journal vouchers and internal exchange transactions including inter or intradepartmental billings interfund transfers and wire transfers
Reviews Board of County Commissioners’ agenda items relevant to assigned funds; reports items of interest and/or concerns to management and other staff within the department
Prepares funds analyses and related documentation to assist in the preparation of various annual financial and special purpose reports. Performs regular periodic reviews and fund analyses for regulatory compliance and/or adherence to policies and procedures
Develops and assists in the completion of assigned notes, schedules and Report (ACFR) and the Annual Financial Audit Report (AFAR). Will consult with supervisor, finance staff, other departments, outside agency personnel and other individuals to exchange information, provide technical expertise, identify and troubleshoot problems or give/receive advice/direction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
Five (5) years of recent and relevant work experience is required as follows: financial reporting, governmental accounting, and automated financial systems
In-depth knowledge of public finance administration and regulatory standards regarding administration of public funds
Preferred
Additional experience is accepted as a minimum requirement in lieu of a post-secondary degree on the following basis: additional four (4) years in lieu of a bachelor's degree, and additional two (2) years in lieu of an associate degree
