Responsibilities
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location
Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and help to control entry and exit in accordance with post orders
Document patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and handle assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal training and applicable regulations
Qualification
Required
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED
Possess a law enforcement officer license
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
