Responsibilities
Provide customer service to client staff and visitors at a technology and data center location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct armed patrols, including regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, data halls, loading areas, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns
Monitor access points and controlled areas by checking identification and credentials, managing visitor processing and maintaining awareness of authorized entry and exit activity
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of on-site contacts and coordination with public emergency responders as directed by post orders
Complete detailed security-related reports and documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs and shift pass-downs, and communicate significant events to the appropriate personnel
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess an armed guard card and/or license
Possess an active DoD Secret clearance
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton
