Finance Director, U.S.
Armstrong Fluid Technology is a global leader in sustainable energy-efficient systems. The Finance Director will lead the finance function, providing vision and direction while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices across multiple manufacturing sites in the USA.

Responsibilities
Responsible for all month-end closing and presenting financial results to the USA Leadership Team and the global/corporate finance team
Responsible for monthly FP&A activities such as P&L and Cash Flow forecasting and supporting the Sales and Operations teams in their monthly business reviews (MBRs)
Analyze sales and operations to identify trends in the business; recommend and implement specific corrective actions when warranted
Organize monthly review package, including key performance indicators and general ledger reconciliations
Lead the monthly sales forecast process, provide CRM pipeline reviews and insights to sales
Monitor all financial activities and ensure compliance to US statutory requirements and to corporate standards. Determine and maintain all accounting principles and processes and ensure compliance with US Tax and GAAP regulations
Responsible for monitoring and driving compliance of all internal controls for operations activities that includes inventory related controls for multiple manufacturing sites
Manage reconciliation of all physical inventory, maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory and perform the financial audit on an annual basis
Ensure standard cost of all products, services, and projects are maintained appropriately
Manage project accounting revenue and margin recognition. Provide relevant analytics and insight to the project team on timely basis
Perform actual vs. budget variance analysis for both overhead cost centers and manufacturing operating variances with root causes analysis and recommended actions
Manage the liquidity through working capital improvements to inventory control, credit and collections, as well as supplier payments
Gather customer income tax and sales tax data and manage remittances to the government
Partner with sales and operations to review key performance indicators and metrics, relative to budget
Review the payroll and manage the process for compliance, timeliness, and strong internal controls
Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance and accounting team
Support information requests and communicate monthly operating results, forecasts, plans, and strategic initiatives as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
CPA designation is required
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting (including 3+ years in a management role)
Proven leadership experience in leading a high-performing team and driving results
Experience in a configured manufacturing environment is a strong advantage
Public accounting firm training is considered an asset
Solid experience in financial analytics, budgets and key financial metrics
Experience with ERP systems and the proper setup for effective implementations
Creative problem-solving skills to break down complex problems, conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations and directions to team members
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, both with centralized and matrixed reporting structures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to develop outstanding business relationships and provide functional leadership, even though not all team members report directly to this position
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a focus on results and a bias for action
Excellent written and oral communication skills with an open and authentic style
Disciplined work ethic, detail oriented and well organized
Proficiency with the use of computers, Microsoft Office and ERP systems
