Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight of design, development, and system integration activities to deliver a functioning quantum computing platform
Translate functional objectives into a system architecture that defines specific component requirements
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure all subsystems are integrated into a functional and performant system
Develop and drive realistic schedules and commitments based on strategy, available resources, and the demonstrated capacity of the team
Anticipate potential issues and propose solutions, manage dependencies and cross-functional interfaces, and identify opportunities to improve tools or processes

Qualification

Required

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field
8 years of experience in developing systems hardware systems engineering, software integration, and testing
8 years of experience with integrating multiple custom technologies into a hardware system
Experience translating technical objectives into component functional and performance requirements for systems

Preferred

Experience building and operating quantum computing systems
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to work across technical and business teams to deliver hardware systems to schedule and specification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
