Accounts Payable Specialist
Seneca Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-growing organization in Henrico, VA. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable activities, month-end close support, and strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing, including vendor invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor statement reconciliation
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals for expenses, inventory, and vendor advances
Support corporate credit card processing and related journal entries
Monitor and maintain received-not-invoiced (RNI) activity and ensure accurate reporting
Partner with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
Maintain accurate accounts payable records, documentation, and reports
Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and recommend efficiencies aligned with best practices
Communicate AP status, aging, and outstanding items to Finance leadership as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting roles
Strong understanding of general accounting principles
Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and vendors
Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
