7+ years expPrime Team Partners is seeking a Principal/Staff SDET to build and scale the quality strategy for their suite of modern SaaS, cloud, mobile, and embedded products. This role will involve defining quality standards and processes while mentoring engineers and influencing engineering direction across multiple product lines.

Responsibilities
Define and implement the end-to-end quality strategy across all products and engineering teams
Architect a cohesive approach to component, integration, system, and end-to-end testing
Establish quality standards, quality gates, release processes, and requirements traceability
Design and guide test and release workflows for feature validation, regression, UAT, and system testing
Build the company’s test automation strategy across APIs, services, web, mobile, firmware, and hardware
Partner with DevOps to integrate automation into CI/CD, enabling reliable, fast feedback cycles
Define quality KPIs and measurement frameworks to ensure clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement
Serve as the quality champion — mentoring engineers, shaping process, and driving adoption across teams
Qualification
Required
7+ years in software engineering, SDET, or automation roles using C++, C#, TypeScript, Python, or similar modern languages
Deep experience building test automation frameworks and strategies
Strong background validating distributed systems, including cloud services, web/mobile apps, firmware, and hardware-connected solutions
Experience with API test automation (Postman, REST frameworks)
Load/performance testing (JMeter, wrk, etc.)
Network/interface testing tools
Test case management platforms (TestRail, Zephyr, PractiTest, BrowserStack)
Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing approaches
Understanding of modern cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Ability to drive influence across multiple teams and concurrent release cycles
Excellent communication and a strong customer-centric mindset
Preferred
Experience leveraging AI/ML for test generation, coverage analysis, or defect prevention
Familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testing
Experience in IoT, SaaS, or data-driven platforms
Background leading quality in modernization or migration programs
Passion for mentoring and cultivating a strong quality culture
