Analytical Development Scientist I
Randstad USA is partnering with MilliporeSigma to find an Analytical Development Scientist I. The role involves supporting analytical assay activities for viral vector process development and executing experimental strategies while collaborating with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
Support analytical assay activities in support of viral vector process development through initiating and executing on experimental strategies and plans
Perform routine analytical testing including FFU assay, Flow cytometry-based Potency assay, TCID50 assay, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA testing
Generate worksheets, summary reports, and transfer documents
Anticipate potential problems and designs preventative solutions
Independently plans and execute experiments
Independently analyze increasingly complex data and interpret results
Able to contribute to and execute technical transfers of analytical methods from and/or to internal and external sites
Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to achieve project goals and advance technical capabilities
Able to effectively communicate with the technical leadership team, internal network partners, and the product management teams
Qualification
Required
Support analytical assay activities in support of viral vector process development through initiating and executing on experimental strategies and plans

Preferred
Knowledge and technical expertise with biologics analytical techniques, method development including Flow-cytometry, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA and cell-based assays such as plaque assays, TCID50 and FFU assays
Academic and/or industry-based background in Cell biology/Virology is desirable
BS degree with 4+ yrs exp, MS degree with 3+ yrs exp, or PhD with 2+ yrs exp
Ability to apply expert technical knowledge to design assays and to complete complex project
Critical and analytical thinking skills to effectively solve problems and improve outcomes
Effective communicator of scientific and technical ideas
Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and quality systems within an FDA-regulated environment
Knowledge of ICH quality guidelines
