Director of Finance and Analytics
ForceBrands is a company that thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments. They are seeking a Director of Finance & Analytics to support explosive growth by improving the operating model, managing forecasting processes, and delivering decision-grade analytics across various channels.
Responsibilities
Own and continuously improve the operating model and forecasting engine across Retail, DTC, and Amazon, ensuring assumptions reflect the reality of rapid growth
Run Month’s End Close and forecasting process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to a tight timeline for closing the books and sharing the updated forecast by the 15th of the month
Build standardized retailer/channel P&Ls that clearly show full gross-to-net economics: list price → trade → net revenue → COGS → freight → variable opex → contribution margin
Develop and maintain trade spend ROI models by customer and promotion type (TPR, scan-downs, billbacks, MDF, EDLP, displays, etc.), using historical performance and test-and-learn discipline
Build and own a company-wide omnichannel Analytics Engine that unifies DTC, Amazon, and Retail performance into a single set of KPIs and dashboards and provides daily guidance on deployment of capital
Identify repeatable workflows (month-end prep, variance flags, approvals, A/R visibility, trade tracking) and implement scalable automation with strong controls and documentation (e.g., Make/Zapier/n8n/Parabola and modern BI/AI tooling)
Deliver decision-grade analytics across channel/customer/product (e.g., retail velocity drivers, contribution margin, cohort/LTV, CAC thresholds, pack size tests, DTC & Amazon performance, etc)
Foster a culture of financial excellence and continuous improvement by providing guidance, coaching, and support across the entire company
Assess current resources and progressively build, direct, and lead a lean Finance team that future proofs us from excess headcount in Finance
Evaluate and help shape the company’s capitalization strategy, including the tradeoffs and sequencing of working capital facilities, ABL/factoring, term debt, and equity financing, and how each option impacts runway, flexibility, and cost of capital
Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and working capital optimization to support the business’s growth trajectory
Collaborate with Accounting to ensure proper GAAP treatment of expenses and expenditures
Maintain high Accounting integrity for effective audit preparation
Qualification
Required
Proven finance leader with experience in high-growth CPG and omnichannel businesses
Strong investor mindset (IB, VC, PE, or similar background preferred) with the ability to underwrite decisions and scenario-plan quickly
Highly analytical, technically strong, and comfortable building and improving models hands-on
Scrappy, resourceful operator who can flex between strategy and execution in a lean environment
Curious, high-intelligence problem solver who can quickly identify gaps and find answers
Strong communicator and partner who can align cross-functional leaders before execution
