Responsibilities
Manage the operation of automation equipment to maintain consistent production levels, reduce downtime, and ensure product quality
Maintain equipment, maintenance schedules and repairs to prevent or to promptly address equipment breakdowns
Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance tasks, and any required repairs
Assist in the installation and setup of new automation systems, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards to maintain a safe work environment. Participate in safety teams
Utilize the CMMS, Quality software, ERP and other programs or software to optimize production
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in automation, engineering, or a related field is a plus
Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of automation equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills, supporting an interactive team culture
Leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to automation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and basic understanding of automation controls is desirable
