Akraya, Inc. is an award-winning IT staffing firm, and they are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SEC Reporting and Accounting Specialist to join their Accounting and SEC Reporting team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing SEC filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules, and supporting the Investor Relations team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks) in Workiva, including the XBRL review process
Research U.S. GAAP guidance, perform benchmarking, and provide recommendations
Ensure SOX controls compliance and coordinate deliverables Maintaining corporate reporting calendar
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounting operations, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations, and Legal)
Recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements to streamline SEC reporting processes

Required

4+ years of big four public accounting and SEC reporting experience
Proficiency in Workiva
CPA license or progression toward obtaining it
Experience in the finance or accounting department of a corporate setting, particularly with a focus on SEC reporting and compliance
Familiarity with SAP
Strong skills in MS Excel and MS Word
Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with various internal teams to support financial reporting and investor relations activities
