Responsibilities
Overseeing all fundraising, development, and communications functions of the organization
Leading a comprehensive, multi-channel strategy to grow public and private revenue
Providing vision and leadership across major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation and government grants, planned giving, events, digital fundraising, and donor stewardship
Managing and stewarding significant corporate and individual donor portfolios
Accountable for meeting ambitious revenue targets while fostering a strong culture of philanthropy
Developing and executing annual and long-term fundraising plans
Overseeing donor stewardship, CRM systems, reporting, and compliance
Leading and developing high-performing development and communications teams
Ensuring effective collaboration with Covenant House International
Leading integrated marketing, communications, and public relations efforts, including media relations, crisis communications, and brand management
Serving as a primary liaison to the Board on development and communications matters
Supporting board committees
Representing the organization publicly through speaking engagements, community partnerships, and advocacy efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
10+ years of fundraising experience across public and private revenue sources, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
Proven success in revenue growth, donor relationship management, and team leadership
Strong strategic, financial, and business acumen
Demonstrated expertise in communications, public relations, and crisis management
Knowledge of fundraising regulations, ethics, and best practices
Proficiency with fundraising/CRM systems and Microsoft 365
Ability to travel locally and work some non-traditional hours
