Responsibilities

This job includes batching, legal pasteurization, and storage of all products according to plant SOPs and the PMO
Candidates will be required to understand the following operational needs: Operation of the HTST while maintaining legal pasteurization requirements
Proper documentation for all charts and records in accordance with NYS AG+MKTS legal requirements
The individual will be required to obtain and maintain NYS AG+MKTS broken seal certification and assist with HTST system inspections
They must have the ability to CIP all tanks, lines, and equipment associated with processing
Follow all company formulation and assure correct ingredients amounts are being used and documented
Assist with setting yogurt silos, operating the yogurt separator, and assisting in the cottage cheese vat room when needed
Perform a daily inventory of products in the processing area at beginning of the shift to maintain 72/24 hour storage regulations
Work in conjunction with manufacturing employees to properly transfer raw ingredients
Will be required to perform assigned sanitary PM tasks monthly
Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements
Keep all work areas, including the ingredient storage area, neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements
Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way
Must stay until job is completed or relieved
Must perform any other assignment by a Supervisor or Foreman
