Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsibilities

Lead the annual budgeting process and annual financial forecasting for all business units
Develop and maintain rolling financial forecasts, incorporating operational, market, and strategic inputs
Prepare and analyze long-range financial models to support growth initiatives and capital investments
Own the 13-week cash flow reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights
Lead short- and long-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
Partner with leadership to optimize working capital, including inventory, AR, and AP management
Provide financial oversight and performance analysis across multiple business units or manufacturing locations
Establish consistent financial processes, reporting standards, and KPIs
Support business unit leaders with financial insights to drive profitability and operational efficiency
Perform Operations Labor Analysis, including productivity metrics, labor efficiency, and cost per unit
Conduct Product Margin Analysis to evaluate profitability by SKU, product line, and customer
Partner with operations and supply chain to analyze manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, and cost drivers
Lead Capex Benefit Analysis, including ROI, payback periods, and strategic value assessments
Support investment decisions related to equipment, automation, facilities, and process improvements
Prepare financial reporting and analysis required by private equity sponsors
Support due diligence, lender reporting, and board presentations
Deliver data-driven insights aligned with value creation plans and EBITDA growth objectives
Develop and mentor finance team members
Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and processes to enhance accuracy and speed of decision-making
Ensure strong internal controls and financial discipline in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Coordinates all monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting for ALO, including but not limited to forecasting, budgeting, BOD presentations, and other financials
Provide financial modeling that will explain the business’s financial performance pertaining to variances to the budget/forecast in all aspects of operations
Support the ALO business with pricing and costing (BOMs). Ensure costing & pricing based on up-to-date financial information
Analyze and provide in-depth financial analysis for capital investments (e.g., NPV, IRR)
Support the ALO management team by developing, measuring, explaining, and presenting KPIs to stakeholders across the organization
Develop and monitor complex financial models that measure the effectiveness of revenue and operational strategies and initiatives that support all departments
Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or other analytical methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions to business problems or to identify opportunities that will drive profitability

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing
Proven experience with: Cash Flow Forecasting and 13-week cash flow reporting
Annual budget process and annual forecasting
Multi-business unit financial management
Financial forecasting and scenario modeling
Operations labor analysis
Capex benefit and ROI analysis
Product margin and profitability analysis
Minimum of 5 years in Finance leadership roles
Proven track record of driving operational improvements

Preferred

MBA or CPA
Private Equity experience strongly preferred
