Responsibilities
You will serve as a Marine Transportation System Specialist (CYBER) and be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all cybersecurity related executive orders, acts, regulations, laws, and Coast Guard policy supporting the safety and security of ports and waterways throughout Coast Guard Atlantic Area
The incumbent is also responsible to assist in the implementation of policies, plans, procedures, and exercises for all cyber incidents that impact the marine environment, port security, or marine transportation
Reviews new laws, regulations, and other directives impacting cybersecurity within the Marine Transportation System (MTS) and advising Area Commander and staff as the senior program expert
Coordinates with cybersecurity programs in the CG, interagency, and private industry with a presence in the CG area, marketing their programs and capabilities across all modal representative to support cybersecurity awareness initiatives
Develops, coordinates, and plans new policy changes
Serving as technical expert in developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders in the government and private industry to further cybersecurity and port security goals
Providing background, contingencies and recommended coursed of action during crises or urgent situations within the pertinent domain to assist in mitigating immediate and potential threats
Overseeing and communicating analytical approach to collect, organize and interpret cybersecurity data and information to maintain 24/7 operational situational awareness of current and emerging threats within the MTS
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector
Experience leading responses to crises or urgent situation within the cyber domain to assist in mitigating immediate and potential threats
Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining cybersecurity plans, strategies and policy to support organizational cybersecurity initiatives and regulatory compliance
