Responsibilities
Originate and close commercial mortgage loans across a variety of asset classes
Develop and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, and referral partners
Structure loans to meet client needs while aligning with internal credit and underwriting guidelines
Manage deals through the full lifecycle; from origination to closing
Analyze borrower financials, property cash flows, and market fundamentals
Actively source new business and expand the firm’s footprint in the Houston market as well as other markets
Qualification
Required
Proven track record of commercial loan origination and closing
Strong understanding of commercial loan structuring and deal economics
Self-motivated, hungry, and entrepreneurial mindset
Ability to source and manage a robust deal pipeline
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Preferred
Experience in commercial real estate lending preferred (bank, non-bank, debt fund, or private lender background welcome)
