Responsibilities

Produce complex data and layout work in conformance with customer requirements and Japs-Olson quality & productivity standards using a variety of software tools
Participate in problem-solving and decision making for production departments for DP-related issues
Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to meet client expectations
Provide advanced capabilities to service challenging projects
Achieve familiarity with as many accounts as is practical through cross-training
Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for specific clients, processes, and/or procedures
Know and understand USPS requirements and regulations
Follow management system procedures, 5S and Standard Work instructions
Follow document control procedures (if applicable)
Serve as a mentor and trainer to other Variable Data Specialists and departments
Preflight and optimize files for 4-color variable print production
Supply files to print on multiple 4-color variable output devices (inkjet & toner)
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Programming degree or completion of industry specific work
Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience in direct mail data processing to include data hygiene and variable document composition
Knowledge of computer programs used for data processing and direct mail letter set up such as Quadient Inspire, BCC Ignite, XMPie, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, postal software and others
High level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
Knowledge of digital print processes (inkjet & toner)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
