Associate Director of Access to Capital

The Women’s Business Development Center is a nationally recognized leader in business development and economic empowerment. The Associate Director of Access to Capital Program and Services will support the growth and administration of the Access to Capital team, providing financing assistance and advising to entrepreneurs, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged and underserved.

Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate Access to Capital programs and services, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with strategic objectives
Deliver client advising, including assessing client needs, providing tailored support, and guiding clients through the preparation necessary to access capital
Assist clients with evaluating financial position, developing financial readiness, and understanding lender expectations and requirements
Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, including organizing workflow, timelines, subject-matter experts, and internal resources for effective program execution
Lead or support delivery of cohort-based programs, including teaching finance curriculum and managing cohort logistics
Support loan origination under lending programs and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing
Work with servicing partners to oversee post-loan closing activities and maintain strong operational coordination
Represent the WBDC at trade shows and events through networking, presentations, and public speaking
Partner with the marketing team to manage promotion of, and outreach for, workshops, events, and training sessions
Align all responsibilities with the WBDC’s overall mission, goals, and performance standards
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Strong business and financial acumen, with familiarity in credit analysis, banking practices, and lender requirements
Formal bank credit training or demonstrated experience working with capital providers, underwriting processes, or financial institutions
Solid communication and organizational skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
3+ years of relevant professional experience
Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred)
Passion for women's economic development and advancing underserved entrepreneurs
