Responsibilities
Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606, including documenting nonstandard terms
Own key area of the monthly and quarterly close; including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Collaborate with the Product and Operations to ensure data relied upon for revenue accounting is complete and accurate
Support external and internal audits by providing documentation, analysis, and explanations of revenue-related transactions
Drive process improvements and automations within the revenue recognition cycle to enhance efficiency and scalability
Prepare ad-hoc revenue analyses for management to support strategic decision-making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of relevant work experience; public accounting experience preferred
Strong, in-depth understanding of GAAP (specifically ASC 606) and the proven ability to research technical accounting topics
Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel is required
Proven ability to quickly learn and work with various software platforms
Preferred
public accounting experience preferred
Experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems is a plus
