Responsibilities

Receptionist. Field questions from public from phone calls and walk-ins
Check voicemails each morning and forward message to appropriate staff member
Open, sort and upload daily mail
Update case based on new information received
Send out applications, modification packets, and other documents upon request from parties
Type miscellaneous legal documents, stipulated orders and correspondence
E-file documents to court and monitor for judge’s signature
Scan paper files and documents to online case file
Update contempt docket calendar court dates
Process closed files
Process customer payments
Assist with opening and closing cases
Shift, move, and inventory files
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of experience in office and secretarial work
Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County
Fluent bilingual Spanish/English skills
Pass a verbal and written Standardized Spanish/English Fluency Assessment as part of the hiring process
Pass a criminal history background check, including fingerprinting
Possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certification
Pass a pre-employment drug screen, including testing for marijuana
Obtain and maintain Notary Certification throughout employment
