Director of Sales and Marketing

Responsibilities
Assist with the strategic direction of the Sales & Marketing Department
Identify sales targets, develop relationships and create new business opportunities
Develop and implement long-range sales and marketing strategies aligned with company goals
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline; set quotas and monitor performance
Cultivate relationships with key clients and strategic partners to drive new business
Oversee creation and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional materials
Ensure brand consistency across all channels and campaigns
Establish and manage departmental budgets and forecasts
Analyze sales and marketing metrics to inform strategic adjustments
Lead, train, and mentor sales and marketing teams; conduct regular evaluations
Foster collaboration across departments including Product Development and Operations
Identify new revenue streams within existing customers
Creation of competitive and persuasive sales / marketing materials
Design and deliver high impact sales presentations
Maintain customer and prospect management programs (database/software)
Ensure timely and effective communication with prospects and customers
Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies to improve retention
Develop and manage departmental budgets and forecasts
Collaborate with Product Development and Operations to align sales strategies with company capabilities
Represent the company at industry events and conferences to build brand presence
Qualification
Required
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
Solid writing and presentation skills with a high level of comfort and confidence in presenting to senior level executives
Strong experience building a pipeline, identifying and qualifying leads, and gaining new business
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred)
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles
Solid, documented track record of sourcing new business opportunities
Proven experience in developing creative, innovative and effective sales proposals
Experience in experiential marketing or industry-specific expertise (e.g., hospitality, technology)
Familiarity with CRM systems and digital marketing tools
