Technical Training Program Manager

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate collaboration with trainers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to assess technician training needs and develop effective, scalable learning strategies
Guide the design and development of technician-focused learning programs, ensuring content equips trainers to deliver consistent, high-quality instruction aligned with business and safety requirements
Plan, coordinate, and support the delivery of training programs across multiple modalities—including classroom, virtual, eLearning, multimedia, simulations, conferences, and workshops—primarily through trainer enablement
Evaluate training effectiveness at both the trainer and technician level, using feedback and performance data to identify gaps and implement targeted improvements
Maintain functional and technical proficiency within assigned programs to ensure training content remains current, relevant, and aligned with evolving products, technologies, and field needs
Partner closely with trainers to foster a strong learning environment, supporting instructional excellence and enhancing the technician learning experience across the enterprise
Drive the strategic evolution of learning and development initiatives by leveraging research, data, and industry trends to strengthen technician capability and readiness
Mentor, coach, and support trainers, reinforcing best practices in instructional delivery, consistency of standards, and professional growth

Required

Minimum of 5 years of related experience required
Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional documents and teaching platforms utilizing a variety of learning and development concepts, practices, and procedures
Proficient in effective verbal and written communication, adept at delivering engaging presentations, and skilled in public speaking
Proficiency working within learning management systems to schedule training sessions, track attendance and interact with learners
Ability to complete full data analysis for responsible area and implement solutions for continuous improvement
Demonstrated project management skills to achieve target timelines and ensure quality outcomes with minimal supervision or guidance

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Education, Training or related field preferred
