Advantage Technical is partnering with a well established enterprise technology organization to hire a Design Systems Architect who will own and scale a multi-product component library used across large digital platforms. This senior-level role is responsible for evolving and governing an enterprise design system while collaborating closely with UX, engineering, and product stakeholders to ensure a seamless bridge between design and production code.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve an enterprise design system and component library
Manage and govern Figma libraries, variables, and design tokens
Define scalable UI patterns, accessibility standards (WCAG), and best practices
Bridge design and engineering through strong design-to-code workflows
Partner with UX designers, front-end engineers, product teams, and QA
Drive adoption and usability improvements across multiple teams
Establish governance, documentation, and contribution standards
Ensure parity between Figma components and production code

Required

5+ years owning or leading design systems at scale
Deep expertise in Figma libraries, variables, and design governance
Strong experience with design tokens and automation (Style Dictionary, Tokens Studio, or similar)
Experience building and scaling component libraries across multiple products
Solid front-end foundation (React, Angular, Web Components, or similar)
Accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive UI best practices
Experience collaborating across design, engineering, and product teams
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and modular UI frameworks

Preferred

Experience managing multi-product design systems
Strong documentation and governance practices
Passion for usability, scalability, and developer experience
Comfortable influencing without authority across teams
