Responsibilities
Coordinate all phases of project job costing, including tracking, categorizing, and analyzing project-related costs
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly project billings in accordance with contract requirements
Monitor project budgets, commitments, and financial performance
Process subcontractor and vendor invoices and support preparation of customer invoices
Partner with project managers and internal stakeholders to assess overall financial health of projects
Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and cost projections
Identify financial risks, variances, and opportunities and communicate findings to project leadership
Participate in project progress and internal financial review meetings
Perform special financial analyses and ad hoc reporting as needed
Support financial compliance and documentation to reduce project risk
Mentor and provide guidance to junior project accounting staff
Qualification
Required
5+ years of project accounting experience
Strong knowledge of job costing and project-based financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience working in project-driven or contract-based environments
