Responsibilities
Teach courses in British Literature, 1800-present (Poetry and Fiction), and First-Year Writing, and potentially additional courses in Literature, Composition, or Literary Publishing and Editing depending on applicant’s qualifications and department needs
Contribute to the English major and the University’s General Education Curriculum
Contribute to the life and work of the department and our majors
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in 19th/20th Century British Literature
evidence of teaching experience
Preferred
ability to teach undergraduate courses in British Literature, especially the 1800-present survey
ability to teach the novel from Austen to Woolf
ability to teach composition
ability to teach cross-listed offerings in the Women‘s Studies Program
successful publication of scholarship
evidence of other scholarly, professional, and/or service activities
