Responsibilities
Manage Fabrication RFQ’s
Print and prioritize based on compatibility
Communicate with customers RE their RFQ’s
Create RFQ’s to steel suppliers and outsourced services (generally machining) for customer quotes using BOM’s, drawings, and/or models
Create drawings using 2D Autocad and 3D Models
Assist in creating estimates by entering material pricing in ERP
Purchase steel and outsourced services for winning bids
Expedite orders
Create drawings using 2D autocad and 3 models for steel purchasing, machining, and fabrication
Begin to create routings for new fabrication jobs and put together electronic job folder materials (JB2 is their ERP, will train)
Learn to estimate fabrication jobs including setup, welding, machining, etc
All duties as necessary. This is a developing position with plenty of room for advancement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in engineering (preferably mechanical design)
2+ years with Autocad
2+ years with 3D CAD (Solidworks, Inventor or similar)
1+ yr purchasing of steel components
