Responsibilities
Pulling and installing new Cat 5E/ Cat 6 cable
Pulling and installing new composite cable for door access
Climbing up and down ladders at varies heights
Installing cable pathways and raceways
Be able to use basic hand tools and power tools
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including utilizing proper PPE, safe use of tools and machinery, and always adhering to safety standards and regulations
Install proper cable sleeves and chases
Take direction from Lead Technician
Learn basics between different types of cabling
Terminate Cat 5E/ Cat 6 cable properly
Installing door access hardware (card readers, REX, strikes, door contacts)
Wiring and installing door access panels
Mounting and aiming surveillance cameras
Work as a member of the HBS Physical Security Team that provides consultative and proactive project management support to HBS’s account base
Attend and participate in weekly team calls as directed by the Team Lead
Ability to work in a team atmosphere as both a leader and contributor as assigned. At all times maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor
Minimum of 1,450 hours billed per fiscal year prorated based on start date. These charge hour requirements will be balanced against professional development and on the job training
Qualification
Required
1 years related experience (Low Voltage Cabling, Construction and/or Electrical Field experience)
Experience with Video Surveillance systems and associated hardware/software
IT experience in networking and Windows highly preferred
Experience with basic hand and power tools
Team oriented and knowledge contributor
Ability to prioritize requirements and meet deadlines
High School Diploma or equivalent
Verkada VCE Certificate (or the ability to obtain within the first 12 months of employment)
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
2+ years related experience (Low Voltage Cabling, Construction and/or Electrical Field experience)
Experience with Access Control systems and associated hardware/software
Experience participating in and leading projects
Associate's Degree or higher
Wisenet Certified Professional
BICSI Installer 1
Axis Certified Professional
Open Options DNA Fusion certification
AMAG Symmetry Associate certification
