Responsibilities
Create and refine mechanical components and processes using CAD software
Develop prototypes and oversee testing to validate design functionality and performance
Ensure components meet customer specifications
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to support project objectives
Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders
Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution
Assist in the transition of components to production
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges
Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including technical drawings, processes, and specifications
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations
Ensure compliance with Rand’s AS9100 Quality Management System
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo)
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication and project management skills
Preferred
Experience in Defense related Manufacturing is a plus
Experience with CNC machining is a plus
Prior Management Experience is a plus
