Manufacturing Engineer - Metals Fabrication

Responsibilities
Develops, assesses, and enhances manufacturing methods and processes in a sheet metal fabrication setting
Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making
Collaborates with account managers and production teams on product and tooling matters to optimize production efficiency
Engages with customers and vendors to determine product specifications and coordinate the procurement of tooling, materials, or parts
Works with management, engineering, and other internal departments to align manufacturing capabilities and production schedules, ensuring smooth production workflows
Utilizes statistical methods to forecast future manufacturing needs and potential
Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency
Qualification
Required

Lean certification and/or experience required
Preferred
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience
Knowledge of equipment for purchase, installation, and repair
2+ years of experience in a metals fabrication manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to work well under pressure - independently and as part of a team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
