Responsibilities

Coordinate annual budget development for Auxiliary Enterprises and assist units in preparing budget submissions and supporting documentation
Monitor department budgets throughout the year, prepare monthly budget-to-actual reports, and highlight variances for leadership review
Maintain accounts receivable tracking and ensure timely and accurate billing, posting, reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances
Process journal entries, assist with month-end and year-end close activities, and support internal accounting requirements
Track and maintain financial records, reporting schedules, and documentation in alignment with University accounting policies and audit standards
Provide financial data, analysis, and supporting reports to leadership for planning and decision-making purposes
Support requisition submission, invoice routing, and financial workflow approvals to ensure proper expense control and documentation
Assist with internal and external audit requests, prepare supporting materials, and help implement process improvements to strengthen controls
Serve as a point of contact for departments and vendors regarding billing, receivables, and budget-related inquiries
Assist with system data entry, report creation, and spreadsheet management for budget, AR, and financial tracking functions
Perform other duties as assigned in support of budget monitoring, revenue tracking, and business operations across auxiliary units

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
3–5 years of progressive financial management experience
Expertise in budget management, financial reporting, and compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret contracts and enforce compliance
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated leadership in managing large teams, service providers, and complex budgets
Ability to develop long-term strategies that balance financial sustainability with operational excellence
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with focus on accountability and innovation
