Business Development Manager

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and execute a new business sales strategy within the Portland market, focusing on securing new clients across air and ocean freight services.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a new business sales strategy within the Portland market
Prospect, qualify, and secure new clients across air and ocean freight services
Build strong relationships with importers, exporters, and supply chain decision-makers
Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through onboarding and handover
Collaborate with internal operations and trade teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions
Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting using CRM tools
Qualification
Required
Proven experience selling international freight forwarding services
Strong background in new business development / hunter sales
Exposure to air and ocean freight (import and/or export)
Established network or strong ability to prospect within the Portland region
Confident communicator with a consultative sales approach
Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working autonomously
