New GradSCHERDEL North America is seeking a motivated Engineering Co-op to support their automotive engineering team. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world engineering projects, including product feasibility studies, technical calculations, and process analysis while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Support engineering teams with product feasibility studies and technical evaluations
Read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings and specifications
Receive product-specific technical training to assist with engineering calculations related to product design, process speeds, and performance metrics
Create and maintain product and process matrices
Participate in testing and validation activities
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Process Engineering
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within engineering and manufacturing processes
Gain hands-on experience through onboarding and shop floor training
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective oral and written communication and documentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Understanding of technical drawings and product design fundamentals
Proficiency in English
Strong time management skills
Results-driven and data-driven mindset
Analytical problem-solving ability
High level of attention to detail
Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations
Self-directed with the ability to prioritize tasks independently
Ability to work in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment
Daily use of computers and standard office technologies for extended periods
