Responsibilities
Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules
Analyze general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements
Prepare and review balance sheets and income statements to support internal and external reporting requirements
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing timely and accurate financial data
Review, reconcile, and analyze key accounts such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, and intercompany transactions
Analyze and adopt new accounting standards, ensuring timely implementation and compliance across financial reporting and processes
Manage real estate and personal property tax filings, assessments, payments, and maintain compliance with required government censuses
Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and serve as a point of contact for external auditors
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Support the development and implementation of new accounting processes, system enhancements, and reporting tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and provide financial guidance
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned or required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least five years of experience in an accounting or finance position preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles
Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred) and advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of up to 15 to 20 pounds, infrequently
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term
