The internship role is responsible for performing day-to-day financial reporting and investment accounting tasks for TMNAS and the business units it supports.

Responsibilities
Assist members of the Financial Reporting GAAP/IFRS team in monthly/quarterly deliverables
Prepare and compile supporting documentation for IFRS Reporting
Gather summarize data from IFRS communications with Home Office/External Audit/Internal Audit
Support Financial Reporting team initiatives and various projects
Provides support to Accounting Manager – Investment Accounting
Prepares various month-end and quarter-end investment account reconciliations
Assists in the preparation of internal investment schedules
Assists in the preparation of various internal reporting files related to the investment portfolio
Qualification
Required
Must be actively enrolled in undergrad or grad program with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Good communication skills to provide information to business units
Strong organizational skills: Planning, organizing, prioritizing tasks; the ability to work with deadlines and communicate with the department if a deadline might be missed
Strong customer service skills in order to respond to employee inquiries and management requests (i.e., responsive, collaborative, accurate)
Emotional maturity to be able to responsibly work with confidential and sensitive Company information
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Superior attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
