Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and validation of algorithms that predict patient trajectories and responses to interventions (e.g., fluids, vasoactives, ventilator changes)
Extend Etiometry’s existing ODE-based physiologic models with advanced estimation methods (e.g., Kalman filters, Bayesian inference, particle filters)
Integrate data-driven approaches (e.g., neural networks, probabilistic ML, hybrid mechanistic/ML frameworks) with classical physiology-based models
Translate physiologic and clinical requirements into quantitative risk indices for FDA-regulated software
Work with real-world ICU data, including physiologic waveforms, vital signs, and laboratory values
Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with engineers, clinical experts, and regulatory affairs to bring models from research → cleared product
