Customer Segment Sales Leader

Prolec‑GE Waukesha, Inc. is an industry leader in power systems, seeking a Customer Segment Leader to drive growth in their Service division. The role involves leading commercial activities, building customer relationships, and serving as a subject-matter expert in electrical transformers and substation equipment.

Marketing & Advertising

Responsibilities

Lead regional commercial activities to achieve revenue, orders, and contribution margin goals
Develop and execute market‑specific growth strategies aligned with the company’s Growth Playbook
Build strong, lasting relationships with new and existing customers while deepening understanding of their equipment, needs, and operational challenges
Serve as a subject-matter expert on power transformers, substation equipment, and related service capabilities
Evaluate market opportunities, competitive activity, and economic drivers to identify new areas for growth
Lead pricing strategy, terms and conditions negotiations, and customer onboarding—including Service Letter Agreements
Support the Sales team with product knowledge, technical application insights, and bid/proposal preparation
Manage follow-up on proposals, service activities, and feedback to strengthen customer satisfaction and repeat business
Represent Prolec‑GE Waukesha, Inc. at industry trade shows and regional technical events
Generate analytical reports and support commercial review processes
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales Operations, Sourcing, Components, and external sales reps

Required

Strong understanding of electrical transformers, power systems, and substation equipment
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with analytical problem-solving capability
Ability to motivate cross-functional teams toward shared commercial goals
Experience reading and interpreting technical and commercial bid specifications
Comfort with engineering project management concepts
Strong presentation and customer engagement skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of substation electrical equipment
5 - 7 years of technical sales experience for engineered-to-order or long lead-time power systems equipment—especially transformers or substation components
