Responsibilities

Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager
Prepare schedules and resource forecasting
Participate in proposals and cost estimation
Provide project oversight of day-to-day activities to achieve on time and on budget execution
Oversight of risk management process and baseline change processes
Drive the EVM (Earned Value Management) process and effective management operating process (MOS)
“Jump in” and support technical team as needed with small/medium programs

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering, or related scientific discipline such as physics
5 plus years of experience in development programs with a mix of commercial and military products
1 plus years of demonstrated experience leading team/project
Ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Computer or Mechanical Engineering, or Physics or Computer Science Degree
Familiarity with electronics and RF disciplines
Lead teams to fast, practical solutions using RCCA processes
Scope, estimate, & plan activities or 'projects', including resource allocations
Ability to drive activity execution & report appropriate status to stakeholders
Bridge across functions & organization levels
Has excellent leadership, interpersonal, & communication skills
Strong bias for action, willing to dig into problems, & fill white space
Action oriented, high energy, able to seize opportunities when they arise
Ability to deal with ambiguity. Able to effectively cope with change. Ability to make decisions and act in the face of limited data availability and achieve success despite ambiguity. Ability to manage risk and uncertainty
Develop creative and elegant solutions to meet requirements while meeting schedule and cost limitations
Ability to work well with others with good conflict management skills and the ability to turn conflicts into opportunities for improvement and to strive for win-win resolutions
Knowledge of aircraft avionics and how they are used in commercial and military aircraft
Familiarity of applicable and current areas of FAA, TSO process, and MOPS content related to radar altimeters and their respective development, formal certification, and related artifacts
