InternAM General LLC is focused on enhancing its information security efforts, and they are seeking a Cyber Security Intern to assist with various cybersecurity operations. The intern will support data analysis, automation, and compliance initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in security policy development and compliance environments.

Responsibilities
Support the development and prototyping of automation and filtering methods for security alerts and log data
Assist with analyzing large volumes of security data to improve alert accuracy and reduce noise
Contribute to the enhancement, review, and maintenance of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) protocols
Support the review and documentation of security policies and procedures
Assist with cybersecurity compliance initiatives, including CMMC compliance activities
Perform risk assessments on filtered security logs and document findings for review
Support continuous improvement efforts related to security monitoring, data filtering, and automation
Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT stakeholders on assigned projects
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, Junior or Senior standing required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Familiarity with data analysis tools and basic scripting or automation concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred
Preferred areas of study: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
