Project Architect

Architecture & Planning

Responsibilities

Lead project teams through the documentation of each project
Guide project teams through each project phase to successfully complete project deliverables on schedule
Manage project schedules and project production
Develop the design of projects via charettes, ideation, and collaboration
Survey and evaluate existing conditions at project sites to inform achievable design decisions
Effectively source and specify architectural products to meet the project budget and schedule
Produce construction documents as well as other project deliverables by working primarily in Revit
Develop and coordinate architectural details
Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and industry partners
Participate effectively in client meetings
Present architectural solutions during client meetings
Review project submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
Work with consultants, contractors, and vendors to actively maintain the project schedule
Ensure the successful implementation of firm project designs during construction administration
Track construction progress by visiting active construction sites, attending construction meetings, reviewing, photographing, and documenting construction progress, and generating punch lists
Track and manage your individual time and performance on projects
Track and manage your project team’s time and performance on projects
Work with leadership to develop your career

Qualification

Required

3-7 years of experience in conceptualizing, documenting, detailing, and coordinating the design of commercial projects
Professional degree (Master's) in Architecture from an accredited program
You are a licensed Architect
Knowledge of and familiarity with architectural and interior design principles and practices
Knowledge of and familiarity with building codes and structures
Experience in and familiarity with all phases of project delivery
Experience in conceptualizing, developing, and documenting architectural design solutions including but not limited to: code and zoning analysis; site plans and building plans; building sections and elevations; building envelope details; wall, roof, and floor assemblies; coordination of structural, MEP, and specialty consultant information; life-safety and egress plans; and preparation of coordinated construction documents, specifications, and technical details
Experience in selection, specification, and coordination of architectural products for commercial projects
Experience in working with industry vendors and partners to review and coordinate architectural specifications
Experience in coordinating with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering consultants
Experience in coordinating with Structural engineering consultants
Experience in coordinating with general contractors and reviewing and responding to submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
Experience with training and leading team members
Experience presenting project deliverables to clients
Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Word
Experience in or familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel

Preferred

Experience in or familiarity with Rhino
Experience in or familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite programs
Experience in or familiarity with Microsoft Teams
Experience in or familiarity with Procore
