InternAmica Insurance is America’s oldest mutual insurer of automobiles, and they are seeking a Product Development Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will gain hands-on experience in project management while supporting research initiatives for new insurance products and features that align with customer needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities
Conduct consumer, competitor, and general marketplace research to support early stage discovery efforts
Analyze competitor product positioning, marketing materials, and website experiences to identify trends and opportunities
Review competitor forms filings, policy language, and related regulatory documents, preparing summaries of findings
Assist in analyzing product performance data; summarize results and report insights to internal stakeholders
Use Generative AI tools to support research, data synthesis, drafting of summaries, and preparation of insights
Support the creation of presentations, memos, and research deliverables for leadership and cross functional teams
Collaborate with Product Development, Actuarial, UX, Marketing, and Compliance partners as needed
Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and assist with additional tasks as assigned
May be called upon to handle other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a college sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Innovation, Economics, Data Analytics, Risk Management & Insurance, or a related field
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize findings from multiple sources
Interest in insurance, product development, or market/consumer research
Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information and communicate insights clearly
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare clear summaries and presentations
Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions and learn quickly
Comfort using Generative AI tools for research, ideation, data summarization, and content creation (training provided if needed)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
