Mold Set-up Technician (Night shift 6pm-6am)

The Mold Set-Up Technician will support production operations by performing mold changes, automation setups, and equipment troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Perform mold changes, insert changes, and machine start-ups
Set up parts handling systems and automation equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve production line issues, alarms, and equipment malfunctions
Assist with blocked part recovery and sampling
Conduct preventative maintenance on molds and production equipment
Repair and troubleshoot hot runner systems and controllers (including wiring)
Fabricate and install automation guarding and parts handling solutions
Support mold qualifications and engineering projects
Maintain mold condition records and press schedules
Monitor and manage spare parts inventory
Complete packing slips and documentation for vendor shipments
Perform precision measurements on inserts and mold bases
Troubleshoot electrical and wiring issues
Assist with small part repairs and automation troubleshooting
Maintain a clean and organized tool area
Qualification
Required
Experience with precision measuring tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and above-average math skills
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
A positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting is a plus
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Prolonged standing and walking on concrete floors
Manual dexterity for equipment handling
Use of ladders and step stools as needed
