Responsibilities
Attend pre bid meetings and review specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
Perform takeoffs utilizing Trimble Accubid Anywhere and LiveCount software
Set up estimates to allow for advanced manipulation of data, enabling the generation of estimate breakdowns for bid analysis, scheduling input, and bid form requirements
Other duties may be assigned based on needs of various divisions across the company
Qualification
Required
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Continuous improvement mindset when it comes to evaluating systems and processes
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly changing industry
Solid math, critical thinking, and business writing skills
Prioritize digital workflow over traditional paper processes for increased accuracy and productivity
Ability to organize, read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings
Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Self-starter with the ability to work effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Microsoft 365, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong technical aptitude to learn and master company specific tools and programs is required
At least two years of experience completing estimates and bids for industrial and/or commercial construction projects
Demonstrated understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical, and general construction techniques
Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and standards
Preferred
Experience working with Bluebeam, Tra-ser SX, Auto CAD and Revit a plus
Experience and comfort with Cloud based tools is helpful
Degree in Maintenance/Construction technology, electrical engineering, construction management or trade experience preferred but not required
Electrical industry experience preferred
