Responsibilities

Oversee the coordination, development, and publication of content using the cancer center’s content management systems
Implement design and content updates to the website while also ensuring standards for timeliness and quality are met. Responsible for maintaining accuracy and timeliness of website information. Ensures all digital content meets accessibility standards
Research peer and competitor websites to identify opportunities for content expansion, improved user experience, and emerging digital strategies
Design and produce new pages for the website as needed
Ensure adherence to system graphic standards, editorial standards and web standards
Develop and manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: develop relevant content topics to reach the Cancer Center’s target audiences. Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written), monitor, listen and respond to users
Manage emerging platforms and evaluate new channels for strategic fit
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media campaigns
Monitor conversations, respond to users and maintain a consistent brand voice
Partner with subject matter experts across campus to gather stories, research updates and digital assets
Create and publish relevant, original, high-quality content on cancer trends, prevention, research, clinical advancements, Cancer Center personnel accolades/awards, etc. and manage a regular publishing schedule
Manage the flow of project requests from various cancer center departments. Assist with assigning priorities for each assignment and tracking outcomes
Collaborate as digital expert on communications team, as assigned, covering areas including but not limited to – email newsletters, native/display or search engine marketing (and keeping abreast of trends in the evolving world of digital marketing), social media strategy development and plan development in partnership with project owner
Uphold cancer center brand standards across all digital channels
Coordinate reporting analytics for website areas of responsibility, social media and e-publications monthly, as assigned
Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, search engine optimization and social advertising campaigns
Assist in the creation, editing and/or digital sharing or promotion of consumer facing video projects

Required

Six years of direct experience working with website content development, digital communications or digital marketing. Relevant education can be substituted for experience on a year for year basis
Experience with one of the following HTML, Photoshop, email distribution tools, Sitecore, etc. for content publishing and editing
Experience sourcing and managing digital content across multiple channels
Experience with principles of SEO/AEO including keyword research and Google Analytics and 'Search and Social.'
Experience initiating and managing projects/programs from conception to completion

Experience in a healthcare setting or similar environment
