They are seeking a Quality Assurance I professional to direct, plan, coordinate, audit, and inspect customer jobs and processes at various stages of production, ensuring quality and compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities

Access drawings and written work processes to obtain job requirements
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists team members in solving work problems
Coaches team members, as needed
Complete quality program ownership; including cross-shift and cross-job responsibility
Conducts a daily job review to ensure job quality is on target
Conducts and documents all customer internal (in-house) remake issues and works with the appropriate team to determine corrective actions. Works with production teams to implement new processes and actions
Conducts quality inspections to ensure that the manufactured product meets specs – Incoming and outgoing product
Conducts daily review to ensure that the rate of inspections allow the on-time delivery of the product
Demonstrates the ability to handle adjustments/ changes to the daily production schedule
Demonstrates the ability to use quality tools to verify conformance of material to specifications
Designs and implements quality control training programs
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods and quality
Directs workers in reworking products which fail to meet quality standards
Inspects and measures parts to verify and enforce quality conformance to specifications
Inspects product for blemishes or non-conformities
Ensures all safety procedures and company policies are followed
Ensures that each job is completed & delivered to shipping on time and at 100% quality
Ensures work area is maintained at a high state of cleanliness
Interprets specifications, prints, and job instructions with the ability to communicate them to others
Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality
Maintain a positive team morale and working environment
Notifies Operations Manager immediately of any issues or concerns, including quality
Overtime hours are often required to perform the essential functions of the job
Performs special projects, other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Plays an active role in ensuring quality improvement is driven throughout the production team
Provides documented inspection and audit activity for all products inspected and audited
Provides suggestions and feedback for continuous process improvement
Provides the communication link for all quality issues
Provides the training and mentorship necessary for team member’s quality development
Recommends new production processes and actions to improve the quality process
Records all job quality issues into electronic databases
Records audit and inspection data
Records internal and external remake data
Resolves all quality issues prior to delivering jobs to shipping
Samples and audits products and processes at specified stages in production processes to determine conformance to requirements
Strives to improve the complete manufacturing quality process from start to finish
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Lighting or electrical background is a plus
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers & team members
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of windows software and ERP Systems
Forklift Certified

Preferred

Experience with low-voltage LEDs
Experience using Solid Works PDM
Experience with FEA
Project management experience
Experience with other CAD software (Rhino, SketchUp, Revit, etc.)
Knowledge of UL and CSA standards
Experience with lighting and electrical design
