Lead Systems Engineer - Principal

Responsibilities

Leading systems engineering efforts for the Forest Production Factory, ensuring alignment with program objectives and customer requirements
Overseeing the integration, testing, and validation of radar systems in a production environment
Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize production processes
Developing and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and reports
Ensuring compliance with RTX lifecycle program management (RLPM) and Checkpoint Gated Process requirements
Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to address technical issues and ensure program milestones are met
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality

Required

Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience
Experience with production environments and/or factory support
Experience with radar systems or similar complex systems
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Preferred

Engineering experience with radar systems or similar complex systems
Familiarity with RTX lifecycle program management (RLPM) and Checkpoint Gated Process
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Knowledge of Raytheon command media and relevant corporate policies
Master's degree in Engineering and/or Certification in Systems Engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP) is a plus
Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)
Ability to work on programs requiring special program access
