$80K/yr - $100K/yrPAR Excellence is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing, managing, and monitoring Azure cloud-based infrastructure and government cloud implementations.

Responsibilities
Implement, manage, and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, service bus, Redis cache, key vaults, and more
Support cloud strategy including migrating from IaaS to PaaS
Implement cloud applications to optimize cloud infrastructure
Monitor cloud environments for stability and performance including VM and MS SQL DB systems
Follow established security standards and assist with implementing security controls in coordination with the information security team
Support compliance and audit-related activities, including SOC 2 Type 2 documentation and evidence gathering
Acquire and maintain access to government systems
Implement, manage, and monitor limited Linux and container implementations utilizing MySQL and nginx in government environments
Responsible for limited after-hours support
Qualification
Required

Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
Preferred
Experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
Experience implementing and maintaining Linux, MySQL, nginx, and container systems
Experience with Azure DevOps
Experience administering and securing Azure IPv4/6 virtual networks
Experience with Azure security features, including DDoS, Web Application Firewalls, and Network Security Groups
Experience with Azure Entra ID, role-based access control (RBAC), and resource IAM
Proficiency in using Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics for infrastructure monitoring
Familiarity with Azure Compliance features and Policy Initiatives
Understanding of Azure cost management and optimization strategies
Strong skills and/or experience in the following are a plus: Microsoft stack including Windows Server, MS SQL Server, IIS, PowerShell, AD, Entra ID
Linux, MySQL, nginx, & containers
Clinical / Healthcare experience or knowledge
Experience with software support in a dynamic work environment
