The Controller / Head of Finance will lead financial operations, improve cash visibility, and drive margin and cost optimization initiatives across the business, working closely with ownership and senior leadership.
Travel Arrangements
Responsibilities
Own financial operations, reporting, and cash flow
Maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast
Lead weekly financial cadence and reviews
Provide forward-looking insights to leadership
Analyze and improve unit economics across:
Company vehicles vs. independent operators
Affiliate / farmout partners
Top client accounts
Identify, quantify, and implement EBITDA improvement initiatives
Track and report the financial impact of each initiative
Build and manage the annual operating budget
Enforce budget accountability across departments
Deliver monthly P&L, variance, and margin reporting
Own QuickBooks and financial systems
Automate and streamline accounting and reporting workflows
Improve billing accuracy, AR processes, and revenue protection
Reduce reliance on external accounting vendors
Partner with Sales, Operations, Dispatch, and Accounting teams
Build dashboards and reporting that drive accountability
Provide financial guidance for strategic decisions
Qualification
Required
7–12+ years in finance or accounting leadership roles
Experience in services, transportation, logistics, staffing, or multi-location businesses
Hands-on with cash flow, budgeting, and operational finance
Track record of margin improvement and cost optimization
Strategic, data-driven, and execution-focused
Comfortable working directly with ownership
Preferred
CPA, CMA, or public accounting background is a plus but not required
