Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team of CG artists, helping to foster a collaborative and creative work environment
Actively be on the box and execute work in creating and refining visual effects shots for various projects alongside the team
Ensure the highest level of quality of work for each project while serving as the primary quality control for jobs you are leading
Oversee the CG technical and creative aspects for commercial projects
Collaborate with Creative Directors, Producers, and other key team members to achieve the client’s vision for each project
Stay updated on industry trends to keep the department at the forefront of technology and creativity
Play a key role in recruiting and onboarding new talent to build a strong and diverse CG team
Consistently provide guidance and feedback to support the development of the CG team
Develop and maintain efficient workflows and tools for either a Maya or Houdini pipeline while working closely with the pipeline team
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
Participate in meetings and daily project reviews to provide technical and creative input
Qualification
Required
Experience as a CG Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the VFX industry
Strong proficiency in Maya, Houdini, Yeti, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Unreal, and other potential VFX softwares
Extensive knowledge of CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a passion for identifying and developing talent
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
Preferred
Knowledge of Python programming and basic acquaintances with GITHub workflows are a plus
