Responsibilities
Negotiates bids/contracts for building management services and manages vendor performance
Develops operational and capital budgets for assigned properties and ensures budgetary compliance
Resolves problems concerning property maintenance and security
Coordinates moves, expansions and renovations involving assigned properties to ensure smooth transitions and to minimize inconvenience to occupants and visitors
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Manages staffing, performance evaluation and training activities, and assists with capacity planning for staff and contract labor
Ensures that facilities are maintained, secured, renovated, and constructed according to departmental/organizational policies, procedures, plans and initiatives
Assists with the development of and compliance with the departmental budgets, including capital, operating and construction budgets
Maintains knowledge and ensures compliance of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements
Qualification
Required
Licensed Drivers License credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles required
3-5 years of facilities maintenance required
Preferred
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Fleet Management preferred
